One of Week 2’s biggest Section IX results came with Sage Caesar at the controls.
The Cornwall quarterback is the KOT845 Week 2 Overall Player of the Week after helping the Dragons beat Monroe-Woodbury 49-7 on September 18.
The Week 2 line
Caesar completed 8 of 13 passes for 175 yards and added 50 rushing yards on nine carries.
That gave him 225 yards of total offense in Cornwall’s 42-point win over the defending Class AA champion.
The performance has now been attached to KOT845’s Cornwall–Monroe-Woodbury Game Center as a player-confirmed game report.

A needed response from Cornwall
Cornwall entered Week 2 at 0-2 after losses to Rye and Middletown. Against Monroe-Woodbury, the Dragons broke through with 49 points — the most Cornwall has scored against the Crusaders in KOT845’s available series records.
The victory also gave Cornwall its first win over Monroe-Woodbury in KOT845’s available records since Fall 2021.
Caesar’s performance was at the center of that response and helped Cornwall enter Week 3 ranked No. 2 in the September 23 KOT845 Power 40.
What comes next
Cornwall’s next test arrives Friday night at Newburgh Free Academy. The Dragons enter 1-2; Newburgh enters 2-1, and the matchup places the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the current KOT845 Power 40 on the same field.
