Best of the 845 Showcase/Combine Brings Athletes, Football Leaders and Community Partners Together Saturday
The final preparations are in place.
On Saturday, August 15, KOT845 and Athletic Republic Hudson Valley will host the Best of the 845 Showcase/Combine, bringing a major field of athletes from across the Hudson Valley together for verified athletic testing, football work, media coverage and a full day built around the local football community.
The event will take place at Athletic Republic Hudson Valley, 1743 NY-17A in Florida, New York, and will officially run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Doors will open at 8:45 AM.
Athletes and families are encouraged to arrive early so they can be ready when doors open, get situated and move through check-in without rushing.
With the size of this year’s registration field, early arrival is strongly encouraged.
All athlete registration and check-in will close at 9:50 AM.
A Full Athletic Testing Experience
The Best of the 845 Showcase/Combine will give athletes an opportunity to establish verified numbers immediately before the start of the 2026 high school football season.
Athletes will rotate through assigned testing groups and complete a full athletic testing circuit consisting of:
- 40-yard dash
- 10-yard split
- Vertical jump
- Broad jump
- 5-10-5 shuttle
- L-drill
- Bench press
The testing format is designed to evaluate several major areas of athletic performance, including acceleration, top-end speed, explosiveness, change of direction, agility and strength.
Accurate results and efficient group movement will be the priority throughout the morning.
Because of the large number of registered athletes and the amount of time required to properly complete the testing circuit, WR/DB and OL/DL one-on-one periods will not be part of Saturday’s event.
Rather than rush through additional competition, the focus will be on giving athletes a legitimate opportunity to complete their testing, receive accurate measurements and participate in position-specific football work as the schedule permits.
More Than a Combine
Saturday has grown into more than an athletic testing event.
Athletes and families will also be able to enjoy a full event atmosphere with a DJ on site, concessions available and several special guests, sponsors and community partners participating throughout the morning.
The objective is to create an environment where Hudson Valley athletes can compete and gain exposure while families can connect with people, businesses and organizations involved throughout the local athletic community.
Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler
Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler will be among the special guests attending Saturday’s event.
Hoovler has been an active supporter of local youth and community initiatives throughout Orange County and will join athletes and families during the Showcase.
His presence continues the community component KOT845 wants to build around the event—connecting athletics with the people and organizations that support young athletes throughout the region.
Greg Sirico Representing Warwick Valley and New York High School Football
Warwick Valley Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Greg Sirico will also be joining us Saturday.
Sirico will be attending as one of the Hudson Valley’s longtime football leaders while also representing the New York State High School Football Coaches Association.
His involvement gives athletes and families an opportunity to interact with an established member of the Section IX football community and further strengthens the football presence surrounding the Showcase.
Saturday is intended to bring more than athletes together. It is also an opportunity to connect players and families with coaches, athletic leaders and people who have spent years helping grow high school football throughout the region.
Dan Morse to Help Families Navigate the New Bound Platform
Another major addition to Saturday’s event will be Dan Morse, the new interscholastic athletic coordinator succeeding longtime coordinator Chris Mayo following Mayo’s retirement.
Morse will be on site helping introduce athletes and families to Bound, the new platform being utilized for Section IX athletics.
Families will be able to receive assistance downloading the Bound app, navigating the platform and learning how to find the information they will need throughout the upcoming school sports season.
Bound is designed to centralize information such as schedules, scores, standings, rosters, team information and other athletic updates.
With football season beginning, Saturday provides families with an opportunity to become familiar with the new system before regular-season competition gets underway.
BLEND Joining as a Showcase Sponsor
BLEND will also join the Best of the 845 Showcase/Combine as an event sponsor.
BLEND has a presence inside Paradigm Athletic Center, including its Grab & Go concept, providing another local health and wellness connection to Saturday’s event.
Its involvement continues to expand the group of Hudson Valley businesses supporting an event centered around local athletes.
Nordic Recovery Bringing the Recovery Side of Performance
Also joining Saturday as a sponsor is Nordic Recovery, located inside Paradigm Athletic Center.
Nordic Recovery focuses on athlete recovery and wellness, offering services that include cold-water therapy, sauna, red-light therapy, compression and other recovery modalities.
Athletic performance does not end when training or competition stops, and Nordic Recovery’s involvement gives families exposure to another important component of athlete development: recovery.
Having both performance and recovery resources represented at the Showcase adds another layer to what athletes and families can take away from the event.
Jet Kennedy and MHP
Jet Kennedy, an MHP supplement affiliate and fitness-focused social media influencer, will also be joining Saturday’s event.
Kennedy’s involvement adds another connection to the fitness, training and sports-performance community surrounding the Showcase.
With Athletic Republic handling the performance environment, recovery and wellness businesses participating, and additional fitness representatives on site, Saturday will bring several different areas of athlete development together in one setting.
KOT845 Media Coverage Throughout the Event
The work will not stop once athletes record their final testing number.
KOT845 will be documenting the Showcase throughout the morning with photography, video, interviews and additional social and website coverage.
Following the event, official results will begin rolling out across KOT845 platforms.
Coverage is expected to include:
- Official testing results
- Fastest 40-yard dash times
- Fastest 10-yard splits
- Vertical jump leaders
- Broad jump leaders
- 5-10-5 shuttle leaders
- L-drill leaders
- Bench press leaders
- Overall top performers
- Position standouts
- Award winners
- Athlete interviews
- Photography
- Video highlights
- Additional athlete features
- Full event recap
The long-term goal is for Saturday’s performances to live far beyond one social media post.
Verified results from the Showcase/Combine will become part of KOT845’s growing football platform as the website continues developing athlete profiles, event archives, rankings and recruiting coverage.
Official 2026 Showcase Results Hub
KOT845 has created a permanent home for the 2026 Best of the 845 Showcase/Combine results.
Following Saturday’s event, verified testing numbers will be published there as they are reviewed and confirmed, including full athlete results and leaderboards for the 40-yard dash, 10-yard split, vertical jump, broad jump, 5-10-5 shuttle, L-drill and bench press.
The Results Hub will also serve as the permanent home for award winners, top performers, photography, video, interviews and additional post-event coverage.

It’s about bringing the Hudson Valley football community together, giving athletes another platform to be seen, connecting families with useful resources and creating verified results that can continue working for athletes long after the event ends.
The testing happens Saturday. The coverage, results and opportunities that come from it will continue long after the final athlete completes the circuit.well beyond the final whistle.
