Cornwall 43, Lourdes 41 — Final

Cornwall: 4–3. Lourdes: 5–2. The Dragons entered the fourth quarter trailing 34–29 and finished with a two-point win. Aidan Russo’s long touchdown run extended Cornwall’s lead to 43–34 before Lourdes scored again to make it 43–41 with a minute remaining. That was the final score.

Russo also helped change the game before halftime. His interception set up Sage Caesar’s touchdown pass to Gabe Colsant with six seconds left in the second quarter. Cornwall chose the extra point rather than a tying two-point attempt and went into the break trailing 22–21.

Caesar later ran for a touchdown following a big play by Jayon Robinson, and Cornwall converted for two to move ahead 29–22. Lourdes answered twice: a touchdown cut the deficit to 29–28, then an interception set up a Boden Bickel score that put the Warriors ahead 34–29 with 2:51 left in the third.

The conversion decisions mattered in a game this close. Lourdes missed its two-point attempts after reaching 22, 28 and 34 points. Cornwall’s fourth-quarter response still had to happen; the Dragons turned a five-point deficit into a win rather than letting another lead change decide the afternoon against them.

Goshen 38, Wallkill 16 — Final

Goshen: 6–1. Wallkill: 3–4. Goshen turned a 22–8 halftime lead into a 38–8 advantage with three minutes remaining before Wallkill added a late score. JP Sullivan’s seven-yard touchdown run had put the Gladiators ahead 15–8 with 6:40 left in the second quarter. From there, Goshen created enough separation to avoid a tight finish.

The Gladiators have now followed their loss to Washingtonville with two wins. Saturday supplied another Class A Division 2 result ahead of the final two regular-season weeks. Goshen–Wallkill Game Center

Burke Catholic 35, Rondout Valley 8 — Final

Burke Catholic: 7–0. Rondout Valley: 2–5. Burke built a 21–0 lead on Senior Day and finished with a 35–8 victory. The Eagles remain unbeaten. This was a cross-classification matchup, so the overall-record result should not be confused with a qualifying win in Burke’s Class D playoff race. Burke–Rondout Game Center
