Class AA needs all three scores

Middletown brings a 6–0 overall record into Faller Field. Newburgh arrives 5–1. Both are 2–0 in Class AA games, so the winner takes the outright 3–0 lead in the qualifying standings.

Keep Monroe-Woodbury–Valley Central and Pine Bush–Kingston open, too. Monroe and VC enter 1–1 in class play; Pine Bush and Kingston enter 0–2. Friday gives one team in each matchup another class win. The standings story will need all three results.

Beacon takes its unbeaten start to Port

Beacon is 6–0 overall and 4–0 in Class B. Port Jervis is 4–2 overall and 3–0 in class play. Glennette Field gives them the direct comparison their separate schedules could not.

The Bulldogs are trying to extend an unbeaten season. The Raiders can take the head-to-head result against the team above them in the class standings. Neither team wins the sectional championship tonight.

Two eight-man races get direct tests

Tri-Valley and Sullivan West are both 4–1 overall and 2–0 in Division 1. Their meeting in Lake Huntington sends the winner to 3–0 in the division.

In Division 2, Ellenville visits unbeaten Pawling. Millbrook/Webutuck’s Thursday win is already in the books; this is the next result to watch in that race.
