Kingston has built its Week 3 case by making teams work for everything.
Our Lady of Lourdes has built its case by scoring in waves.
Friday night, those two identities meet.
Kingston enters at 2-1 and No. 11 in the September 23 KOT845 Power 40. Lourdes is 2-1 and No. 5. The rankings say there is separation between them.
The numbers say this matchup could test exactly how real that separation is.

Kingston has allowed only 36 points all season
Three games. Thirty-six points allowed.
Kingston is giving up exactly 12.0 points per game through Week 2.
The Tigers opened by beating Mount Vernon 31-10, lost 12-7 at undefeated Goshen, then answered by beating FDR 35-14.
That FDR result mattered because the Presidents entered the game 2-0 after outscoring Poughkeepsie and Monticello 86-0.
Kingston did not just win. The Tigers held FDR to 14.
Head coach Kirk Reinhardt now brings that defense into its most explosive test yet.
Lourdes has scored 92 points in two games
Lourdes started the season with a 34-16 loss to Washingtonville.
Since then, the Warriors have looked like a different team.
They beat Pine Bush 53-12.
They beat Valley Central 39-22.
That is 92 points over the last two games.
Through three games overall, Lourdes is averaging 36.0 points per game.
That surge is the reason the Warriors climbed to No. 5 in the Power 40.
Head coach Sean Keenan now gets a chance to prove that the offensive explosion travels against one of the section’s stronger early defenses.
Kingston’s loss looks better every week
Kingston’s only loss is a 12-7 game at Goshen.
Goshen is 3-0 and currently No. 9 in the Power 40.
That means Kingston has not been exposed. The Tigers have played three games, won two, and lost the other by five points to an undefeated team.
That profile is why Kingston sits directly outside the Top 10.
A road win over No. 5 Lourdes would give Kingston the high-end result its résumé is currently missing.
Lourdes has already answered one ranking question
After the Washingtonville loss, Lourdes needed evidence that the opener was not going to define the season.
The Warriors produced it immediately.
Pine Bush came to Lourdes and lost by 41.
Then Lourdes went on the road and beat Valley Central by 17.
Those are not empty wins. Pine Bush responded by beating Warwick 34-17. Valley Central entered the Lourdes game 2-0 and remains in the current Top 10.
So Lourdes is not No. 5 because of reputation.
The Warriors earned the climb with back-to-back results.
What we know about the Lourdes offense
KOT845 does not yet have a complete Lourdes season stat book, so individual totals have to be treated carefully.
In the reviewed game reports currently connected to the program, Lucas Pascale has 155 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns from one game with stats. Those are exact figures from that report, not a complete season total.
Jack Savona has one passing touchdown and one defensive interception in the currently reviewed game report.
Those partial totals do not explain all 108 Lourdes points through three games.
The team results do.
Lourdes has scored 16, 53 and 39.
The offense is trending sharply upward.
Kingston’s player stats are still incomplete
KOT845 does not currently have a published player-stat report for Kingston.
That means this preview will not invent individual leaders or turn missing data into zeroes.
What is confirmed is the team-level production:
- 31 points against Mount Vernon;
- 7 against Goshen;
- 35 against FDR;
- only 36 points allowed across all three games.
That is enough to understand the identity Kingston has established.
The preserved history is small — and one-sided
KOT845’s current History Watch database preserves only one scored meeting between Kingston and Lourdes.
That came in 2022.
Lourdes 40, Kingston 0.
No earlier scored meeting is currently preserved in the database, so KOT845 is not treating this as a complete all-time series.

Friday gives Kingston an opportunity to create a very different current chapter.
The ranking consequences are obvious
Lourdes is No. 5.
Kingston is No. 11.
If Lourdes wins, the Warriors add another AA opponent to a résumé that already includes a dominant win over Pine Bush and a road win over Valley Central.
If Kingston wins, the Tigers will own a road victory over a Top 5 team while carrying one of the best defensive scoring profiles on the board.
That would make the Top 10 argument extremely difficult to ignore.
This game also affects Goshen, Washingtonville and Valley Central
Rankings do not exist in isolation.
Washingtonville beat Lourdes 34-16.
Lourdes beat Valley Central 39-22.
Goshen beat Kingston 12-7.
A Kingston win over Lourdes would strengthen Goshen’s résumé.
A Lourdes win would strengthen Washingtonville’s résumé and reinforce the separation Lourdes created over Valley Central.
Every result creates another comparison point.
That is why this game matters beyond Nos. 5 and 11.
Can 12 points per game slow 36?
That is the simplest way to frame Friday.
Kingston has allowed 12.0 points per game.
Lourdes has scored 36.0.
The Tigers want to drag the game toward the type of football they played against Goshen.
The Warriors want to keep the scoreboard moving the way it has against Pine Bush and Valley Central.
One style is going to bend.
And if Kingston’s defense travels, the Power 40 may have another Top 10 problem to solve by Friday night.
No. 11 gets a direct shot at No. 5. That is what rankings are supposed to be tested by.
